Meeting Roger Lucero of The Ruins

“Keep interested in your own career; however humble, it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.” -Desiderata, Max Ehrmann

It’s typical for a tourist guide to be good at conversations. They are easy to get along with and they do their job by providing basic information (and some trivia as well) about the must-see places in their area. But to be a humorous tour guide is another thing. It’s innate, I believe. It is a kind of gift that when nurtured and combined with other skills can help make a person stand out, or if not, remembered.

To the super funny caretaker/tourist guide/photographer we met in Talisay, thank you for making our day and night visits at The Ruins special. You were so swabe in delivering hilarious comments and at the same time sincere in explaining the history behind this great edifice.

May you stay passionate about your work, Mr. Roger Lucero 🙂
